Philodendron exile

Slender scandent herb. Stem 0.35 cm thick, straw-yellow (when dry), internodes 4-11 cm long. LEAVES: 4-11 cm long, winged entirely or almost up to the base of the blade; wings slender although one side ca. 0.6 cm at the apex, the other side only 0.2 cm, erect (initially involute), margin irregularly scarious, somewhat free. Geniculum 0.4-0.6 cm. Leaf blade papery, elliptic or narrowly ovate-elliptic, strongly unequal-sided, occasionally somewhat falcate, one margin almost straight, the other margin decidedly convex, 11-12 cm long, 3.7-7.9 cm wide (2.5-3 times longer than wide), truncate at the base (rarely obtuse or emarginate), attenuate upwards, apex acuminate; primary lateral veins weak, 6-8 on each side, emerging at an angle of ca. 60-70º. INFLORESCENCES solitary. Peduncle 2.5 cm long. Spathe 7.3-8.2 cm long (apical part lacking), pale green, tube ca. 3.5 cm long, well differentiated. Spadix somewhat shorter than the spathe, 7 cm long, stipitate, stipe at back 0.6 cm long, 1.1 cm long at the front; female zone 2.8 cm long, male zone 4.2 cm long (sterile part not distinguishable).
