Anthurium microphyllum

Stem creeping forward, partly covered [or concealed] by old cataphylls. LEAVES: Petiole semiterete or slightly terete, flattened barely a little above, almost equally as long as the blade or a little overtopping it, 1.5-2 dm [15 - 20 cm] long, 2-3 mm diam.; geniculum tumid, 0.7-10 mm long; blades thickly coriaceous, dark green, a little slightly shiny above, ovate, rounded at the base, narrowed toward the apex in an arcuate line, 1-1.5 dm [10 - 15 cm] long, 7-8 cm wide at the lower third part or at the middle, minutely apiculate; midrib thick, slightly terete, very [literally "highly" in the sense of protruding far above the blade] prominent on both sides, decidedly attenuate toward the apex; primary lateral veins 10-12 pairs spreading at about a 90 degree angle, excepting the lowest, joined in a collective vein further (8-10 mm) from the margin, together with secondary and tertiary veins, scarcely conspicuous above, more prominent below. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, terete, 3-4 dm [30 - 40 cm] long; spathe ovate-lanceolate, reflexed, short-decurrent at the base, 2-3 cm long, 1-1.5 cm thick; spadix long-stipitate (1-1.5 cm), rusty-red violet, 2-3 cm long, 4 mm diam. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berries short-obovoid [or weakly obovoid?], pale, green at the top, 4 mm long.
