Seymeria cassioides may reach a height of up to 1 meter (approximately 3.28 feet) with glandular-pubescent branches. Leaves are oppositely arranged, about 1 centimeter in length, and are either pinnately or bipinnately parted. Inflorescence is primarily yellow in color, with a lateral red stripe on each of the five petals. Flowers are axillary and solitary. The capsule is ovoid in shape and 4 to 6 millimeters in length.
