Seine Anwesenheit in einem Wald mit Gilbertiodendron dewevrei (Gilbertiodendron dewevrei) schlägt vor, dass Calyptrochilum aurantiacum (Calyptrochilum aurantiacum) breiter verteilt sein könnte, weil sich diese Art des monodominanten Waldes von Nigeria zur demokratischen Republik des Kongos und des nördlichen Angolas ausdehnt.
Calyptrochilum aurantiacum is a plant species in the family Orchidaceae. It is endemic to Cameroon. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
